Discussion Forum
We encourage you to post questions regarding educational technologies and answer others through the Message Board. Using the message board for your questions means that other instructors can benefit, not only from your question, but also the responses from many other instructors. It is a place to collaborate and build community.

As we research emerging technologies and their use in teaching we find information that we think you might find interesting. This page spotlights news, views and sometimes controversial ideas in the use of technology to better educate our students and sometimes ourselves. We are adding podcasts to the site on an ongoing basis to highlight instructors uses and best practices of learning management systems and other technologies. You do not need to be a power user to contribute your knowledge. If you are an instructor at UVic and would like to learn more or participate, please contact us. This website contains a glossary of common learning technology terms. As these terms appear on the this site they are linked to the definition and appear in a pop up when you mouse over the word. A quick and convienent way to familiarize yourself with the "lingo".
