Moodle is Your Online Learning Environment

Many courses at UVic are using Moodle for course resources, collaboration, communication, sharing, activities, and critical reflection. However, if instructors simply want to use it as a repository of course reading materials, it can be that too - it is entirely up to the instructor how they decide to use (or not use) this learning management system.

You will use the same Netlink username and password you have been given to access a variety of UVic online systems to access Moodle.

Below, and on the menu to the left depending on whether you are a student or instructor, you can access our support materials and online videos to help make your Moodle experience successful. Also make sure you run our browser check for compatibility.

You can access UVic Moodle by going to:

http://moodle.uvic.ca

Students: If you cannot access your course check with your instructor that it is accessible to students. While we applaud you for trying to start reading content early, most instructors do not allow access to online components until after the course has started. It is up to the instructor to allow student access.

Instructors: If you plan to use Moodle, you must request a course shell using uSource every semester. We have online help documentation, or you can contact the Computer Help Desk to walk you through the process.
